Video: “Last Lecture”

My apologies if you’ve already seen this video, but my brother just emailed it to me, saying that he could learn a few things from this speaker. You and I probably could, too.

Resolutions

I have only one New Year’s Resolution for ’08: to make and achieve worthwhile, monthly resolutions. For example, my goal for January is to not eat any candy (thank goodness I had the sense to not include other sweets like ice cream, cookies, and hot chocolate – for someone who has only “sweet teeth,” no candy is challenge enough!). So far, so good – unless you count what I dream about. Today’s only the 7th, and I’ve already had dreams of eating candy on at least three nights. Reminds me of a scripture…Isa. 29:8

On a mostly unrelated note, why are they “New Year’s Resolutions” instead of just “New Year Resolutions?” Is it merely another tradition perpetuated out of ignorance or apathy?
